Minimum Grade: O-2 (Lieutenant, J.G.)
Commitment: Approximatly 4 hours per week
Open to: All eligible crew
Must be an SFI member
90+ days as a member of the chapter preferred
Must maintain 75%+ attendance rate to General Meetings
Must pass OTS and OCC within 30 days of appointment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent required
Working knowledge of social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, etc. required
Good communication skills over email and phone are a must
The Strategic Operations Officer is responsible for representing the ship to local philanthropic organizations. Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, they help set up and organize appearances and missions for the ship to help these organizations to achieve their goals.
Training will be provided upon appointment. You must be available to attend training sessions on weekends. Dates and times will be determined based on your availability.
Officers of grade O-1 (Ensign) are eligible to apply if they feel they meet the prerequisite and or skill criteria. A promotion to O-2 will be considered after 90 days in position.
