Message from the Captain

Officers and crew of the Starship Independence:

I would like you all to know how proud I am of each and every one of you and how greatful I am that you have joined this fine ship. Not only have we exceeded every goal we have set for ourselves over the past few months, but we have commissioned ahead of schedule and have grown to become the second largest meeting chapter in the Fourth Fleet in terms of Starfleet International memberships. We have many dedicated members who have put the word out to help us grow and we could not have done this without you. Each month we gain new members who bring with them qualities which help enhance the flavor of our crew. I look forward to getting to know those of you who are new and continuing to help those who have been with us grow your careers in Starfleet. Together, we will make this one of the finest ships in the fleet. We are well on our way!
